What are the signs of needing endodontic (root canal) treatment?
The most common signs of a person needing root canal treatment are:
1. Pain or discomfort with prolonged exposure to heat or cold
2. Tenderness to touch and chewing
3. Discoloration of the tooth
4. Swelling, drainage and tenderness in the lymph nodes as well as nearby bone and gingival tissues.
In some cases, none of these signs present them self until well after the problem has escalated to a point where major surgery or treatment may be necessary.
Do you feel you are experiencing any of these symptoms? Make an appointment today, and we'll assess whether or not you're a candidate for root canal therapy.
